"Emma is the best arts teacher I have ever had, she knows exactly how to communicate with each of her students in a way that suits their learning style. Since joining her classes, I’ve seen a huge improvement in my skills, and I truly appreciate the guidance and support she provides. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to grow and learn with confidence.
In addition to that, the museums course has been the best course for me to take my drawing skills to the next level. With Emma giving us an art history tour at the beginning of each class, and learning different aspects of skillful drawing through the paintings of masters was an incredible experience."

"Emma has a deep knowledge of art history and how art movements connect to each other, she's always prepared and the class is always very informative and I come out of it each time with new knowledge and more artists to explore or read more about. She’s also great at pulling out the central theme: materiality, presence, whatever the thread is so our attention isn’t wandering. It gives the whole class a clear focus. We finish with an hour of sketching, and Emma’s guidance there is just as sharp: composition, mark-making, what to emphasize, what to ignore. The class is 5 people, all of art enthusiasts so it's an intimate circle where you learn, draw and leave actually inspired.

Taking part in Emma Seach’s museum drawing course was an inspiring journey through the history of art. Together we explored museums that spanned different epochs—from the timeless classics to the bold expressions of modern art. What made the experience truly special was Emma’s ability to connect the wisdom of the old masters with our own practice.Through her guidance, studying composition became more than just an exercise; it opened a new pathway of understanding. Emma encouraged us to look deeper, to see how centuries of artistic tradition could inform our own creativity today. Her thoughtful input and supportive teaching style transformed each museum visit into a living classroom, where art felt both accessible and endlessly fascinating.I left the course not only with improved drawing skills but also with a richer appreciation of art’s evolution. Emma has a gift for making complex ideas clear and inspiring, and I’m grateful for the new perspective she helped me discover.

Emma's classes teach you so much more than just techniques and art history. She gets you truly excited about art itself, your own creativity, and makes you truly explore a painting instead of just looking at it.
While observing paintings of times long past she gives valuable insights in the stories behind, the painters' era, and their creative processes without ever making you feel out of depth.

“I’ve taken three courses with Emma since 2023, including the museum course, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The museum course in particular was one of the most meaningful art learning experiences I’ve had. Emma brings together art history, close looking, and drawing in a way that feels fun, engaging and genuinely inspiring. The course helped me gain a deeper understanding of the artworks and their context, while also developing my drawing skills. Emma is incredibly knowledgeable and a very supportive teacher, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her courses to art students and art lovers alike.”

"Emma is not only a remarkable artist, but an exceptional art historian and storyteller. She brought every painting to life, weaving context, detail, and history into a timeline that felt effortless and absorbing—I genuinely didn’t want the tour to end. The experience was deeply inspiring; I left the Neue Nationalgalerie energized, buzzing with ideas, and eager to return to my own work. Her feedback on my sketch was thoughtful and precise, adding real value to my process. This was my first tour with Emma, but it certainly won’t be my last. I’m already looking forward to exploring more museums through her eyes.

I thoroughly enjoyed Emma’s classes. The course in the museum taught me to look at art, and in fact at everything around me, in a completely new way. Emma’s in-depth knowledge of the different art movements and their interconnections, combined with her enthusiastic way of teaching, was a very pleasant surprise. Her love for art is clearly evident in her teaching.
The theoretical framework helped me to better understand a work of art and then translate that understanding into your own sketches. It was particularly rewarding to learn how to build a sketch: considering composition and line work, and how to use pencil or charcoal to get straight to the essence.
In addition to being educational and fun, the course was also simply a delightful way to visit a range of museums in Berlin.
I would absolutely recommend Emma!
